Got a call around lunchtime today from my oldest daughter: “Meet us for lunch!” I’m a smart Poppy! You drop what you are doing and show up and that I did! It’s the kids favorite fast food place where they can have the chicken nuggets and the indoor gym/slide playground. Perfect combination for kids!
Lily Kate is 1.
Her brother Jack just turned 3 last month! 
I walk up and Jack runs to Poppy and hugs and hugs and hugs and does his patented – pat me on the shoulder routine. Awesome! Lily Kate sees me and says: “Pop – py”. Didn’t take much to confirm my decision to show up was a stroke of genius and my daughter knew what she was doing! 🙂
This grandparent thing is awesome. Mimi and Poppy are in heaven! Our 2 parenting kid couples? They’re learning a lot and finding patience but they know they are blessed! 🙂
Sometime you just drop what you are doing to prioritize the things in life that matter! Today’s lunch was one of them!
