Hope you do the same soon if you haven’t already. Tomorrow is the deadline for pre-voting in Tennessee and the election is next Tuesday.
But answer me this question: I know the workers at the polls are probably paid very little, in some cases are volunteers and they work fairly long hours. But is it so hard to be ‘friendly’ to us as we vote?! I tried to connect with 4 different poll workers at the polls this morning – spoke to each person, told two of them I appreciate you being here and ‘have a nice day’ … I probably would have gotten a better response from a brick wall!
It reminds me personally – how easy it is to smile and say …’hope you are OK’, ‘glad to see you’, ‘enjoy your day’ or something NICE for goodness sakes. I wish I could have voted for ‘Get Happy Poll Workers’ … I would have clicked – YES INDEED!
