Edwards pictureThis one has affected me!  She faced such tragedy throughout her life: the loss of a son, a husband who didn’t just cheat on her but totally tore her heart out along with her family’s and mutilated it all to pieces.  And then cancer.  SO VERY SAD!

What got me about this woman is she lived it real – out loud and as best as I could tell, so honest!  I watched interviews of her pouring her heart out, telling it as she saw it, making sense of sadness and how she’ll make it OK!  She rallied around her children and even on this day of her death, wanted some normalcy in her environment for her kids by having their Dad in the house as she left her earthly home.  INCREDIBLE!

There was something extremely special about this lady – Elizabeth Edwards.  I mourn her death and feel deep SADNESS for what she had to endure and what her children – at such young ages had to see and now feel in losing their Mom!

As I told someone today, put THAT into perspective with the troubles we think we have and things seem to be really OK today – don’t you think?
